Can I Cancel a Custom Tarot Card Order? Our Terms, Quoted
A custom tarot card order can be cancelled up to the moment production starts, not the moment you pay: a print-ready order at any time before production begins, an assisted order in full before individual preparation begins, and partially after that. Once production has started, custom and made-to-order goods cannot be cancelled for a change of mind. Stock goods are separate again — they can be returned within 14 calendar days of receipt if unopened. There is no default $199 cancellation charge. Cancelling a new print run, in our own words
Three stages, and the terms name each one:
A print-ready custom order may be cancelled before production actually starts.
An assisted custom order may be cancelled in full before individual preparation begins. If preparation has started but production has not, we retain only the agreed quote amount attributable to preparation work actually completed for that project and refund the unused balance.
Once production has started, custom and made-to-order goods cannot be cancelled or returned simply because you change your mind. This does not exclude remedies for a confirmed defect or any rights that cannot legally be excluded.
A print-ready order is one where you supply finished files. An assisted order is one where we prepare something for you — a box layout, a card back, a booklet from your text.
There is no fixed cancellation fee
The figure most buyers expect to find, and do not find here, is a flat cancellation charge. The terms rule it out explicitly:
For an assisted order where preparation is included, the valuation of completed preparation work must still be agreed in the quote beforehand; no default $199 cancellation charge is imposed.
What can be retained is the agreed quote amount attributable to preparation work actually completed — and the valuation of that work has to be agreed in the quote before the order, not decided afterwards. The preparation prices themselves are published: box layout $50, a new card-back layout $50, a new booklet layout from supplied text $150, all below 60 decks; ready files and minor company, logo or QR changes are free; from 60 decks preparation is included at no additional charge.
How to cancel
Use Request cancellation in your connected project. We confirm the order stage, any completed preparation work and the refund calculation in writing. A submitted request is recorded in your project and does not itself confirm cancellation or a refund.
Two things follow from that last sentence. Submitting the request is not the cancellation; the written confirmation is. And the decisive fact is the order stage at the moment the request is received — which is why the stage is confirmed in writing rather than assumed.
Returning stock goods: 14 calendar days
Stock goods may be returned within 14 calendar days after receipt only if they are unopened and remain in their original resaleable condition. Original shipping charges are not refunded, and the buyer pays return shipping to our US warehouse.
Request return instructions through your project before sending goods. We provide the correct return address and reference for your order. Do not send goods to a production address or an address copied from an old order.
This route covers stock decks only. Custom and made-to-order goods are covered by the cancellation terms above, not by the 14-day return.

What a defect changes
Nothing above limits a defect remedy. A confirmed manufacturing defect is replaced at no charge, including replacement shipping — after production, after delivery, and after you approved the proof. Approval of the artwork does not remove remedies for a confirmed manufacturing defect.
If a parcel arrives damaged, photograph the outer packaging, the shipping label and the affected goods promptly after receipt, keep the packaging while the claim is reviewed, and submit the photos through Report an issue in your project. Every parcel is insured against loss in transit and the insurance is included in the delivery price.
The safest moment to change your mind
The approval step is the natural checkpoint. Production begins only after you approve the exact artwork, so everything before approval is the window in which a change costs little or nothing, and everything after it is the window in which it cannot be undone for a change of mind. Before approving, check the complete proof: text, sequence, orientation, backs, packaging, booklet and configuration.
