The short answer: no application, no licence check
Three separate gates usually stand between a small shop and a trade price. None of them is here.

The only gate we keep is the last one, and it is a physical one rather than an administrative one: twelve decks is the smallest quantity a print run and a shipment make sense at. Above twelve, orders run in multiples of twelve up to 192 per online order.
Why other suppliers ask, and what they are actually asking for
It is worth knowing what the paperwork is for, because two very different things get called "a business licence" in the same sentence.
A trade account application is a supplier protecting their own retail channel. If a maker sells direct to the public at full price, they do not want a private buyer taking the trade price and undercutting them. That is a commercial decision, not a legal requirement, and it is the one we have chosen not to make.
A resale certificate or sales-tax ID is a tax mechanism, and it works the other way round from how it is usually described: it exists so the supplier does not have to charge you sales tax, because you will collect it from the end customer instead. A supplier who cannot see one may simply charge tax. It is not a permission to buy.
A business licence or an LLC is between you and the place you trade in. No supplier grants it and no supplier can waive it. What a supplier can do is not make it a condition of the price, and that is what happens here.
What we do ask for
A delivery address. For a printed run, artwork you have the right to print, and your approval of the digital proof before production starts. That is the whole list. The full conditions are on the order terms page, and the artwork and rights position is set out in who owns the artwork.
Nothing else is collected and nothing else is checked. If you want a person to confirm a figure or a specification before you order, the quote form is answered within 24 hours on business days.
What you are allowed to do with the decks once you own them
Resale is unrestricted. You set your own retail price, sell in a shop or online, and we attach no territory, channel or pricing condition. That is unusual enough to be worth stating plainly, and it is set out at length in can you resell wholesale tarot decks.
Where your own artwork is printed, you keep ownership of it. We do not license it, resell it or use it to train anything.
Where your tax position genuinely does still matter
Access to the trade price and your tax obligations are two separate things, and only the first one is ours to decide. Whether you must register a business, collect sales tax, or account for VAT where you trade depends on your country and your turnover, not on us, and nothing on this page changes it. On an international shipment the buyer is the importer of record unless duty is prepaid; the mechanics are in customs, duties and import tax. That guide explains how the paperwork works. What the first order looks like
Twelve decks of one catalogue design, or twelve mixed across designs with at least five of any single ready-stock edition. $190.80 of goods, $36.00 of insured delivery into the United States, $226.80 at the door, box and 48-page booklet already inside the deck price. What happens after you click buy: a ready-stock design is confirmed and shipped; a printed run goes to a digital proof, and only once you approve that does the press start, which takes 15–20 business days. Add 5–9 business days of insured UPS transit into the United States. Neither number is a guaranteed date, and both move with the destination and the service. Physical printed samples are not offered today.

Ask four questions in writing before you pay: what is the minimum order, what is the unit price at that quantity, what is included in it, and where are the goods made. A supplier who will not answer those four in writing is not ready to be yours.
