The Origin Story
My name is Jennifer, and I am the curator behind Dark Forest Tarot. From the whispered tales of mystical realms in my childhood to the vivid premonitions that danced through my dreams, my life has always been intertwined with the arcane. This journey began with a child's fascination with mysteries untold and grew into a lifelong quest for a deeper connection with the universe.
Disenchanted with the soulless, mass-produced Tarot decks flooding the market, I sought to create something different — something that sang to the soul. Thus, Dark Forest was born. Each deck in our collection is meticulously selected for its authenticity and its ability to resonate on a profound level.
What I Do Here
- I curate the decks. Every Dark Forest deck is chosen for authenticity and printed in small first-edition runs — heavy cardstock, holographic and gold foil finishes, tactile lamination. Artifacts, not merchandise.
- I write the guides. The card meanings, the spreads, the beginner material and the birth-card work published on this site are written and edited by me.
- I answer for the quality. Over 68,000 decks have shipped to readers and collectors, with a 4.9-star average across more than 20,000 verified reviews on our Etsy shop, TarotCardsDarkForest.
