You can also choose ready-made decks from stock. They arrive in their original Dark Forest boxes. Your branded boxes and, if ordered, branded instruction booklets are shipped separately; you replace the boxes and booklets yourself. The printed stock cards stay unchanged.

Can I print my own tarot deck?

Yes. Choose Your own artwork, configure the cards and packaging, then pay the full order in Shopify. New print runs start at 12 decks. No file upload is required before payment. We contact you after the order to confirm your artwork; production begins only after your approval. Use the Dark Forest templates when preparing your files.

Can I put my brand on a Dark Forest design?

Choose Our design, your brand and select an eligible model. Our designs use 78 cards at approximately 2.76 × 4.72 inches (70 × 120 mm exact). Your branding, packaging and booklet are agreed for the project. Existing Dark Forest artwork rights are not transferred automatically.

How much does tarot card printing cost?

Custom runs of the standard set - 78 cards, thin lamination, 48-page booklet, standard folding box - are $15.90 per deck at the 12-deck minimum, $14.90 at 24, $12.90 at 48, $11.90 at 96 and $10.90 per deck at 192. The calculator applies the same ladder to any other specification you choose. Delivery, any applicable taxes and agreed artwork assistance are separate from this price. Product prices confirmed 13 September 2026.

How much does box artwork preparation cost?

Box layout preparation is US$50 below 60 decks and included from 60 decks of the same design. Ready files and minor logo, company-name or QR-code edits are free. New illustration, extensive reconstruction or other design services are agreed separately.

Can I design the artwork myself?

Yes. Start with the illustrated guide, then place real artwork in the matching clean production file. Standard cards and booklet pages finish at 2.76 × 4.72 in (70 × 120 mm) on a 2.91 × 4.88 in (74 × 124 mm) canvas. The canvas includes 0.079 in (2 mm) bleed on each side; keep important content 0.157 in (4 mm) inside trim. The clean card PDF is a 156-page file. Pages 1–78 are the card fronts; pages 79–156 are the corresponding backs. Repeat the approved shared-back artwork on all 78 back pages. Page 1 of the 48-page booklet is the front cover and page 48 is the back cover.

Are the foil photographs custom printing options?

Gold Foil Moonlight, Crystal Foil and Gold Standard foil editions are sold from existing stock only. Their card count, dimensions and finish cannot be changed. Custom replacement packaging or booklets can be ordered separately; the stock cards remain unchanged.

Do I have to upload files or approve a proof before I pay?

No. You do not need to upload files or approve a proof before payment. After your order, Dark Forest reviews the complete proof with you - text, sequence, orientation, backs, packaging and booklet - and production begins only after you approve it. Changes after approval need a new review and may affect cost or timing.

How long does custom or Made to Order printing take?

Plan for 3-4 weeks (15-20 business days) for production and delivery after your artwork is approved. Carrier service and destination can affect this estimate. Artwork preparation and proof review happen before that period starts.

Who owns my artwork, and will it be used to train AI?

You keep ownership of the artwork you supply. Permission to prepare and fulfil your order does not give Dark Forest permission to resell or license your artwork, train models on it, or display it publicly.

Is shipping insured?

Yes. Shipping insurance against loss in transit is included in the delivery price on every parcel, and we help manage a claim with the carrier if something goes wrong.

Are you allowed to buy your own tarot cards?

Yes. No trade account or application is required - private-label and print-your-own orders both go straight through Shopify checkout, the same ladder used for wholesale. Choose an existing Dark Forest design under your own brand, or print entirely from your own artwork.

Can I create my own tarot cards?

Yes - from just 12 decks per design, in multiples of 12 up to 192.

How much does it cost to print your own tarot cards?

At the 12-deck minimum: $190.80 for the decks plus $36.00 delivery, $226.80 delivered to the United States, before tax and any artwork preparation you select. At 48 decks it is $619.20 plus $144.00 delivery, $763.20 delivered. A logo on our box is free at any quantity; a full box relayout is $50 below 60 decks and free from 60.
