Moon Magic Tarot Cards — Plastic Laminated
Sunlight Tarot Cards
Pink Moon Tarot Cards Plastic lamination
Plastic tarot cards are decks whose faces are sealed under a plastic laminate instead of left as printed stock. Water beads on them, a spill wipes off, and the cards do not soften or swell in a humid room. These are the three we print, $34.99 to $59.99, and they are what we hand to anyone who says the words “I read outside”, “I read for clients”, or “my last deck fell apart”.
Waterproof, and what that honestly means
A laminated card survives liquid on its surface: tea, rain on a market stall, a candle that drips. It is not a swimming card. Submerge a deck and water reaches the cut edge, where the paper core is; the card will dry but the edge may lift. So the claim we will make is the one we can stand behind — these cards are waterproof on the face and wipe clean, they shrug off the accidents that end an ordinary deck, and they resist bending far better than stock. That is the difference between a deck that lasts a season of daily use and one that lasts years of it. The long version, with the comparison against our own eco-linen decks, is in the waterproof tarot cards guide.
Who buys these
- Professional and market readers. A deck handled by strangers all day picks up skin oil and drink rings. These clean with a cloth between clients.
- Outdoor readers. Grass, stone, sand and dew are all survivable surfaces for a laminated card and all fatal to an unlaminated one.
- Daily carriers. A deck in a bag with keys gets scuffed. Lamination is the layer that takes that instead of the artwork.
- Households with children or animals. This is, by a wide margin, the most common reason customers tell us they came back for a laminated deck.
If none of those is you and the deck will live on a shelf, you will probably prefer the feel of our eco-linen stock — it is warmer in the hand and takes a riffle shuffle more softly. Those decks are in borderless vintage tarot decks and across all tarot decks.
The three laminated decks
Pink Moon Tarot Cards Plastic lamination
Plastic-laminated with a pink pearl finish — as durable as any deck we make and far gentler in tone. The one most often bought as a first deck. $34.99 for the deck and its printed guidebook; up to $59.99 for the set with the box, the reading cloth and the velvet bag.
Sunlight Tarot Cards
Gold and amber throughout, plastic-laminated. It reads well in daylight, which is exactly why readers who work outdoors pick it. $34.99 for the deck and its printed guidebook; up to $59.99 for the set with the box, the reading cloth and the velvet bag.
Moon Magic Tarot Cards — Plastic Laminated
The Moon Magic artwork on plastic-laminated cards instead of stock: same palette, wipe-clean surface, and it survives being carried every day. $34.99 for the deck and its printed guidebook; up to $59.99 for the set with the box, the reading cloth and the velvet bag.
What is in every box
Every deck on this page is a full 78-card tarot deck — 22 Major Arcana and four suits of 14 — printed by us, not resold. Every order includes a printed guidebook with the upright and reversed meaning of all 78 cards, so you can read on the first evening without buying a book first. The larger options add a rigid card box, a cotton reading cloth, a velvet bag, or all three; the option list on each deck's own page shows exactly what each one contains before you pay.
Care, for a deck that is meant to be used
Wipe with a damp cloth, dry immediately, and never leave a laminated deck face-down on a hot surface — heat is the one thing lamination dislikes. Store it in a bag or box rather than loose, so the edges stay square; that is the part that ages. Velvet bags and rigid boxes are $20.00 to $30.00 in tarot accessories, and a cotton reading cloth means you can read on any surface, indoors or out.

Frequently asked questions
Are plastic tarot cards actually waterproof?
The card faces are, and spills wipe off without marking the artwork. The cut edges are still paper, so a fully submerged deck can lift at the edge. For rain, drinks, damp grass and sticky hands — which is what ends most decks — they are the right answer.
Do laminated cards shuffle well?
Yes, and better than stock after the first week: the laminate slides on itself. A new deck of any kind is stiff for a few shuffles. What laminated cards do not like is a hard bend, so riffle rather than fan them against the table.
Are these the same as plastic playing cards?
No. Poker-style plastic cards are a solid plastic core. These are printed card with a plastic laminate on both faces, which keeps the tarot card size and the printed detail while adding the waterproof surface. The tarot format is larger than a playing card for a reason — the 1909 illustrations need the room.
Which is the most durable deck you sell?
All three on this page are built the same way; the choice between them is palette, not toughness. If you want the plainest, most hard-wearing option in daily client use, take Sunlight or Moon Magic Plastic Laminated.
How much are they?
From $34.99 for the deck and printed guidebook up to $59.99 for the complete set with box, reading cloth and velvet bag. Shipping inside the US is free over $59.
