Borderless Vintage Tarot Cards - Dark Edition by Dark Forest Tarot Cards

What this deck is

The Dark Edition prints that artwork on a deeper, warmer ground than our Light Edition, which pulls the linework forward and makes the Majors read heavier on the table. Same drawings, same card count, a different room.

Borderless means roughly a fifth more image on the same card, and a spread that reads as one continuous picture rather than a grid of framed ones. The cards are eco-linen-textured stock with anti-scratch lamination, so the artwork — which now reaches the edge — is protected where a bordered deck would have white margin to spare.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between the Dark and Light Editions?

The ground tone. Both are the same 1909 borderless artwork on the same stock; the Dark Edition is printed on a deeper base, the Light Edition on a pale one. The Light Edition is the one sold in the United States.

Is it good for learning?

Yes — it is the artwork every English-language tarot book and course teaches from, so anything you read will describe the card in your hand. Every set includes a printed guidebook with upright and reversed meanings for all 78 cards.

Why can I not buy it in the US?

It is printed and stocked for Europe and the UK only. The borderless edition we sell in the United States is the Light Edition linked above, and the rest of the range is in borderless vintage tarot decks.
