78 Pamela Colman Smith Cards in Warm Gold and Solar Tones
The Sunlight Tarot Cards is a full 78-card tarot deck based on the Pamela Colman Smith system. Every card is printed in rich gold and warm solar tones on 350GSM cardstock, bringing a radiant, sun-drenched quality to the classic imagery. If the Moonlight deck belongs to the night, this one belongs to the day.
Plastic Lamination: Wipe-Clean, Durable, Ready for Daily Use
Each card is protected with plastic lamination - a thicker, more durable finish than standard glossy coatings. The cards are wipe-clean and resistant to bending, making this deck genuinely suited for regular practice. Card size is 2.75" x 4.72" (standard tarot size), so any bag, sleeve, or box you already own will fit.

Why This Deck Costs More Than a Standard Reprint
| Feature | Sunlight Tarot | Standard Mass-Market Deck |
|---|---|---|
| Artwork | Original gold and solar-tone artwork on the Pamela Colman Smith system, designed as a day-side companion to the Moonlight deck | Standard flat print, no distinctive finish |
| Cardstock | 350GSM art cardstock - thick, firm, holds its shape | 200-250GSM standard cardstock, thinner and more prone to bending |
| Finish | Plastic lamination - wipe-clean, resistant to wear and scuffing | Basic gloss or paper coating that scratches and absorbs moisture |
| Guidebook | Digital guidebook (PDF course), printable at home | Small paper insert or none at all |
| Gift readiness | Premium packaging with optional wooden box, velvet bag, and reading cloth | Basic cardboard tuck box |
| Durability | The plastic lamination holds up to daily use and wipes clean — keep the deck away from standing liquid | Scratches easily, bends with repeated use, sensitive to moisture |
Is this deck good for beginners?
Yes. The Sunlight Tarot is based on the Pamela Colman Smith system, the most widely used tarot tradition in the world. Every book, course, and app references this system, so learning with this deck gives you a strong foundation. The included digital guidebook (PDF) covers all 78 cards with upright and reversed meanings.
What is the difference between the Sunlight and Moonlight Tarot?
Both decks use the Pamela Colman Smith system and the same card size. The Moonlight deck features gold rainbow foil on black cardstock with a lunar, nighttime aesthetic. The Sunlight deck is printed in warm gold and solar tones with plastic lamination, designed as the bright, day-side counterpart. If you want a wipe-clean finish for daily use, Sunlight is the better choice. If you want dramatic foil shimmer and a collector feel, Moonlight is the one.
What happens if liquid gets on the cards?
Yes. The plastic lamination on the Sunlight deck makes the cards wipe-clean — keep the deck away from standing liquid. The coated surface wipes clean with a slightly damp cloth. This is one of the main reasons readers who use their cards daily choose this deck over foil or paper-finish alternatives.
What exactly comes in my order?
All sets include the full 78-card deck, a digital guidebook (PDF), and a protective card box. Velvet bag, reading cloth, and wooden storage box are included depending on which bundle you choose. See the "What's Included" section above for a full breakdown by set.
How do I get the guidebook?
Every deck comes with a digital guidebook: the PDF tarot course in your language, printable at home. We e-mail your personal download link after purchase. A free expanded guide is also available on the site at any time.
The new cards feel stiff when I first shuffle. Is that normal?
Yes. Plastic-laminated cards can feel firmer than paper-finish decks when brand new. A few shuffle sessions over the first couple of days loosens them up. Most buyers find the cards move freely after a short break-in period.
Is this a good gift?
It is one of our most popular choices for gifts. The warm gold artwork photographs well, the packaging is premium, and the Complete Set arrives ready to give without extra wrapping.
Are taxes included in the price?
Yes. The price shown includes all applicable taxes. No extra charges appear at checkout.
What is the return policy?
We offer a 14-day return policy. If the deck is not what you expected, contact us and we will make it right. Full details are on the Delivery and Returns page.
